THINGS TO KNOW.
What are the little bags in beef jerky bags called?
Those would be either an oxygen absorber (to remove O2) or a desiccant (to absorb moisture). Make sure you’re using the proper packet for your specific product to avoid spoilage or mold growth.
What are the specific jerky packaging requirements?
Our high-barrier EVOH films are the industry standard for meat and cheese. Important: Ask your co-packer about running a trial with our blank film to verify the material compatibility on their machinery before we start your custom print run.
Why should I consider "Bottom-Filling" for my jerky?
Bottom-filling keeps the zipper area clean. If meat fibers or oils get into the zipper during filling, it can compromise the seal. By filling from the bottom, you ensure a professional, airtight finish for every bag.
Will the sharp jerky edges puncture the pouch?
No. We use reinforced laminated structures specifically engineered for puncture resistance against sharp dried meats. We can also include custom windows so your customers can see the quality of your jerky before they buy.
